The Meanings of Document, Record, and Archive（s） in Their Source Contexts
摘要
译者按：笼统地说,我国语境中的“文件”、“档案”这两个词对应着北美语境中的三个词,即document,record,archive（s）。因此,在将它们翻译成中文时,需要根据上下文来理解和把握,很难做到绝对的准确。为了使我国的档案工作者更加准确地了解document、record和archive（s）在源语境,特别是美国语境中的含义,特将美国档案工作者协会2005年出版的《档案与文件术语词典》[1]中对这3个术语的“定义”、对“定义”的“注释”以及对“定义”做进一步解释的“引文”翻译成中文。
